We all have a stash of cards somewhere.

We all have a stash of cards somewhere.

Do you have a creative way to display cards?  Does your family still have cards that your grandfather gave your grandmother, and they have been kept in a creative way?  Did you have a new baby, and you made a memento for him/her out of cards they received?  If you have any suggestions, you can either e-mail me (jennifer.prince@odal-inc.com), or you can just comment on this post.

I have searched the internet and read portions of books, and I am looking for fresh, new ideas.  Thank you so much … I know there are creative ideas out there! :)

I am so glad you did this post. I have tons of cards around, and have been wanting to do something creative with them. I will be checking back to see the great ideas that everyone leaves for you.

To get everyone started … my parents were married at 18 and 20 years old, and my dad went to Germany for the army. They spent their first Christmas together there, and they did not have the money for ornaments for their tree (they also did not want to have breakable ornaments to take home), so they took the fronts of Christmas cards, attached an ornament hanger and decorated the tree. My parents still have one of those cards, and I remember it vividly … a kitten looking into a Christmas ornament. That has hung on their tree for 42 Christmases! :)

  3. I wish I had a new, fresh idea for you… but I am in need of them too!

I wanted to say thanks for stopping by my blog recently too. You noticed my new design… I used Picnik.com to create a sketch of our family photo. It is much more subdued than my previous design, which was bright and busy.
