Becoming a Woman of Purpose by Cynthia Heald

It is time for another free giveaway!  I think that as women we all struggle for purpose in our lives … the book states, “All of us wonder, at one time or another, who we are and why we’re here.”  If you are interested in finding out, just answer one of the questions below by commenting on this post.  This giveaway will end on Tuesday, September 3, and I will announce the winner on the 4th.

How have you found purpose in life? or What makes you feel fulfilled in life? or What struggles do you have in finding purpose?

Lots to think about, I know!  The ones who answer one of the questions above will be entered into a random drawing for the book … happy commenting! :)

My purpose in life is to live for the glory of God! There is no other way to true joy.

What makes you feel fulfilled in life?

Having God as my NUMBER ONE! All is well in life when God is in control. No matter good or bad times…He is always there with me and that is very fulfilling in my heart and soul.

  3. Julie Says:

My struggle is in trying to fit the mold everyone else seems to have created. I never feel good enough or that I’m raising my child correctly but deep down, I know we all have struggles. I feel fulfilled when I see my child learning new things and following the examples I have set for him.

Well, as a military wife, I’ve had some difficulties in the past in finding what my life’s purpose is. Sometimes it seems that when I’ve found my calling, things change and I have to start all over. But what I’ve come to realize is that my purpose in life isn’t what position I hold in some company or what I can do, but instead it is with my family. I feel fulfilled when my entire family is happily together – being able to see every single one of my daughter’s moments and being able to tell my husband all about them when he comes home is all the fulfillment that I need.

I’m still seeking my purpose. Children and love keep me feeling very fulfilled right now. I hope to continue listening and looking for my mission in life and I hope I have the wisdom to see it when it appears.

  6. Tammy Says:

The day I became a mother was the day I finally felt that I had found my purpose in this world. I feel there is no other duty that could possibly fullfill me more…although, we all could use a bit more reassurance from God that we are doing what we are meant to do.

  7. Diana Says:

My purpose first and foremost is to be a faithful child of God and seek HIS direction for my life daily. In living this purpose out I am to teach my children about Jesus and make Him the center of our household. I am also to be a faithful and supportive wife to my husband while trusting him to be the head of our household. Living out these roles is what makes me fulfilled in life but at the same time sometimes I struggle to find balance in juggling all of my roles (wife, mom, friend etc) and I feel like some areas are neglected at times.

I thought I had found my purpose in life in nursing. But after many, many years I found out different. ( story too long ) At almost 45 years old I am continuing to look for my purpose, well other than trying to be a good mom and grandmother. This sounds like an awesome book would love to have it.

  11. I have found the true purpose in my life is to practice to become closer and closer to God and follow in whatever way He leads. I’m right now following in writing about what it means to be a Christian and I’m discovering more about Bible study.

  12. Alyce Says:

I have found my purpose in being a good mom and wife, although there is always room for more in my life (like being a good employee again someday). Of course at the center of it all is obeying God and doing his will, and everything else eventually falls into line.

I read Becoming a Woman of Excellence in Bible study last year and really enjoyed it. This book likes it will be just as helpful.

I find my purpose in my children. I have lately found struggles though when my 2 year old passed away from cancer. I know God is in control – but still question as to “why”.
