I love this statement: “we need to take care of what God has given us.”

I know a lot of people who are religious and love God, but they aren’t doing their part to take care of this magnificient world and it always makes me really sad. I want my kids and their kids to see all of the beauty that I have been able to enjoy. Recycling can be a pain, but if you do it with your kids, they think it is a fun little job! My youngest (2) helps me sort the cans and plastic and my oldest takes care of the glass containers.

Sounds like a great book! I need to convey this one to my husband:
~ “Instead of fretting and fussing about the toys strewn all over, we can take a child in our arms and tell him how much Jesus loves him.” How many times do I really spend time playing with my children … I often seem to be “too busy”.

We have had a lot of issues lately with the house being messy. He doesn’t see that it is because I am trying to spend time with the girls and that something has to go…. With sending my oldest off to school, I realized just how quickly the time has flown by and I feel a little resentful sometimes that I need to focus on so many chores that take away from family time.

Wow, definitely a learning experience for your kids! Good for you for looking on the bright side and trying to respond in a neighborly manner. I know I would have had trouble with that…I think it would have taken me a long time to pick my jaw up off the ground! Good luck fixing it!!

I find my purpose in my children. I have lately found struggles though when my 2 year old passed away from cancer. I know God is in control – but still question as to “why”.

I have found my purpose in being a good mom and wife, although there is always room for more in my life (like being a good employee again someday). Of course at the center of it all is obeying God and doing his will, and everything else eventually falls into line.

I read Becoming a Woman of Excellence in Bible study last year and really enjoyed it. This book likes it will be just as helpful.

I have found the true purpose in my life is to practice to become closer and closer to God and follow in whatever way He leads. I’m right now following in writing about what it means to be a Christian and I’m discovering more about Bible study.
